Note
If the piece in competition includes simple contour elements (set base, arrangement, signage, small buildings, etc.), their evaluation is subsidiary (annex) with that of the piece but not mandatory. When examining works in the category of vignettes or dioramas at any scale and size are examined, the evaluation of the arbitrators must take into account the environmental harmony considered of equal importance to that of the model or figurines. A vignette is normally a form of presentation of a unique model and its immediate surroundings so that the subject is the focus of the paper. The vignette can contain a maximum of one figurine, with or without accessories, vegetation elements and / or constructions. The frame or scene is secondary and provides only context for the subject. (eg shrubs, grass, soil, etc.). In the figurine category, the vignette contains a maximum of 2 figurines, one human and one animal, in any position, with or without accessories, vegetation elements and / or constructions. All vignettes will be registered in the category to which the central subject of the vignette belongs (ex .: a vignette containing a plane with a jet at 1/48 is registered in the category “A02 Airplanes 1/48 and larger - with jet”). By diorama is meant a three-dimensional work, in box or not, which contains a certain number of elements and / or figurines (more than two) in order to replicate on the scale a well-defined moment in space and time. All the components integrated in the diorama have the role of telling a story, presenting one or more simultaneous actions. In both cases, the layout designer can use any set of details commercially available or built from scratch. It is important to present the improved parts by attaching documentation.
